DANCE TROUPE
In the after-school Dance Troupe rehearsals students develop performance skills and confidence in exploring challenging and innovative choreography. Entry is via audition and a variety of groups are offered through the year catering to different levels of ability. With the privilege of membership in our dance troupe and in order for us to work towards a standard of excellence, comes the commitment to consistent attendance, rehearsal and participation in all performances (festivals, eisteddfods, in-school and showcase events).
REHEARSALS
Junior (Grade 7-9) - Mondays 2.30-4.00pm
Senior (Grade 10-12 plus any Juniors in Senior) - Wednesday 2.30-3.30pm.
Senior Extension (selected group) - Wednesday 3.30-4.00pm
COST - The cost to be in Dance Troupe is $120 per term.
This is inclusive of all competitions, dancer passes, rehearsals, showcases and costumes throughout the year. This is a non refundable fee.
COMPETITION DATES 2024:
Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod = 8th, 9th & 10th May 2024
Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge = 27th - 31st May 2024
Pinnacle Dance Challenge = 29th-30th July 2024
Beenleigh Eisteddfod = Week of 31st July 2024
Additional eisteddfod dates will be added as they become available.
OTHER EVENTS :
Arts Showcase = Thursday 29th August 2024
