This competition is conducted in Senior and Junior divisions and participants select a topic from a supplied list. Seniors speak for eight minutes and Juniors for six minutes. Preliminary rounds are held at the College, to choose representatives for the Regional competition, held in the Maroochydore area during May. In the final rounds of the competition in Brisbane, contestants are required to give a three-minute impromptu speech in addition to the prepared speech.
