​St Teresa's Catholic College is proud to participate in the Queensland Debating Union competition, held in Semester 1 each year. Teams of five students prepare and present four debates during the Debating season, with Finals held at the conclusion of Round 4.

All debates are held on Wednesday nights (except for State of Origin dates) and occur on a monthly basis from February to July. Debates for all students are held locally on the Sunshine Coast. The College provides experienced teachers as coaches, as well as dedicated student mentors, and is committed to excellence in Debating.
