St Teresa's Catholic College is proud to present this community event for all parents on the Sunshine Coast.

We all want our children to be resilient. This talk outlines the key factors of resilience and what adults can do to promote this in kids.

Andrew Fuller is a Clinical Psychologist who presents to over 200,000 people annually in over 600 communities throughout Australia. He has been described as an ”interesting mixture of Billy Connolly, Tim Winton and Frasier Crane” and as someone who “puts the heart back into psychology”

He is the co-author of "The Heart Masters," a series of programs for the promotion of resilience and emotional intelligence which is used in over 3500 schools across Australia and Britain.

Andrew is an accomplished author of a number of books including Unlocking your Child's Genius, Tricky Teens, From Surviving to Thriving and Beating Bullies. Resilience and emotional intelligence are essential life skills. Developing resilience is the most powerful way to protect kids from drugs, violence, peer pressure & other challenges they may face.

During this two-hour presentation, Andrew will discuss:
* The active ingredients of resilience & how parents & grandparents can develop it in young people
* Friendship skills
